A quick look at Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe +

blank

Let me start by saying that I haven’t played Woodle Tree Adventures Deluxe.  That said, I came into Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe + with no real expectations or knowledge of the story.  I was drawn in by the simple, yet beautiful graphics, relaxing looking gameplay and nostalgia.

When I first saw gameplay video, I thought of Super Mario 64.  As a long time gamer and fan of the classics, this got me excited.  Let’s just say that I’ve not been disappointed so far.

From the start, I was hooked.  The graphics are smooth, with clear and vibrant color.  I also found gameplay controls to be pretty responsive.  Since this was my first time with the series, it took a little getting used to.  The music is also catch and very pleasing.

The game itself is quite relaxing overall.  There are some challenging aspects sprinkled in just to keep you on your toes too.  The first one that got me was climbing a spiral plant.  Honestly, it took me a few tries to make it up.  Without giving spoilers, there are some deceptive challenges in the game as well.  These show especially if you aren’t paying close attention.  With regions consisting of desert, snow and others I won’t mention, there will be some adapting and improvising needed.

So if you’re a fan of classic style games, Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe + is for you.  It will pull you in and provide plenty of entertainment.  It’s also fun for the whole family.  Developed by Fabio Ferrara and published by Chubby Pixel, check it out now in the Microsoft store now for just $12.99.  If you’ve never played the first game, you’re in luck!  Currently, Woodle Tree Bundle is available for $14.99!  Prices current at the time of this writing.

Enjoy a couple of great games and maybe I’ll see you out there playing sometime.
