Xbox Showcase/The Outer Worlds 2 Direct Announced for June

This June, Xbox will have a showcase and that will be followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. We have the details so far below.

On June 8, Xbox will have a Showcase and right after that there will be a direct for The Outer Worlds 2. This will air at 12pm central.

Not much is known about what will be shown during the Showcase other than some first party and third party games from around the world. The Showcase and Direct will start a week’s worth of coverage for the game’s shown.

With E3 gone, Xbox and sometimes Sony and occasionally Nintendo and other companies will hold their Directs/videos around the time that E3 use to take place. Xbox is holding to the tradition this year but its unknown as of this writing if anyone else will. Its likely though that the Summer Showcase that aired in previous years will be back.

Hopefully we’ll see Fable during the Xbox Showcase and there will be other surprises too. With Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade announced for Switch 2 recently, could we see the game announced this summer for Xbox too? We can hope! Other announcements like a Resident Evil or brand new IP coming to the system would be welcome to.

As for The Outer Worlds 2 Direct, we liked the Switch version of The Outer Worlds a lot and its very likely that the second game will be even getter than the first. Could The Outer Worlds 2 also appear on Switch 2? We may get an announcement during the Direct for that too since Xbox is being more open about where their games will be appearing.

We have a little bit of a wait till June 8th, so we can continue to speculate and hope for an awesome Showcase from Xbox in June. What do you think will be shown off?
