More Thoughts From Me #216: It Almost Time For Final Fantasy Remake! + CONTEST!

When I was trying to figure out what to write about for this week (I still haven’t played that RE3 demo), I remembered: hey isn’t this the week that Final Fantasy 7 Remake comes out?! It is! So let’s talk about Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming out this Friday, April 10th!

And I’m pretty excited for it. Maybe not as excited as I was/still am for Animal Crossing New Horizons but still pretty darn excited.

I still remember back when the orignal came out. I wasn’t completely sure if I would like it. I wasn’t really into rpgs at the time. However the previews for the game looked good. So I asked my dad if we could rent Final Fantasy 7. We did and…I was hooked. I loved the game. And I had to own my own copy of it.

Final Fantasy 7 was the game that made me an rpg fan. After that, I had to play every rpg I could get my hands on. Some of them were great, some were just good, and some were pretty bad. None of them was Final Fantasy 7. This game still holds a special place for me.

And now Square Enix has done a remake of it. You can read my impressions of the FF7 demo here, but let me just say it again: I was blown away by the demo. I’ve been blown away by all the footage I’ve seen of this game.

I did hear the final trailer for the FF7 remake is pretty spoiler heavey so I decided not to watch it. I’ve already seen enough. I have the game pre-ordered. I am so ready for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake!

Now how do I break this to my New Horizons town?

Oh who am I kidding. I’ll still be playing Animal Crossing New Horizons a lot. I will struggle to find time for the FF7 Remake. But I will find that time. I will play the heck out of this remake.
