Collecting All of Jolly Redd’s Items

Although the update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is only a few hours old, our good friend Abdallah Smash has already collected all the items Redd has for sale. While that seems like a pretty impressive feat, I’ve seen Abdallah do way better before. Regardless, that isn’t why we are here, so lets get into it!

I’ll be posting the video Abdallah created below – be sure to watch it! It is a bit lengthy, but getting all those juicy items from Redd doesn’t come easy!

To begin collecting items from Redd, you cannot just head to your secret beach and start collecting. First, Redd actually needs to be there, and based on feedback from friends, just because it is day one of hte event, does not mean Redd will appaer on your island right away. I have them, but my brother-in-law, for example, does not have him.

Even if Redds ship is anchored on your private beach, you’ll need to locate him on your island first. He should just be walking around. After a bit of dialogue, Redd will let you know he has items for sale, and they are just for you! He will first sell you a painting, which you must turn into Blathers and initiate the Museum expansion.

Once the museum is expanded, visit Redd at this boat, and he’ll be sure to sell you some rare pieces of art, and some exclusive furniture.

Here’s the thing – Redd isn’t the most up-and-up kinda fella, so be careful which art and statues you actually buy from the guy. He’s holding and selling a ton of fakes, and Blathers won’t be accepting those in your new museum upgrade!
