Mining

Mining is considered a noble profession and when you play RuneScape, it will be a profitable one.  When you first start playing, you will only be able to mine coal, iron, and steel. However, these ores can be sold for a fair amount after you turn them into bars.

Fishing

However, you need to understand that people try to wean out the price when they buy in bulk so you have to do your math.  Losing 100 gold is not too special, but if you lose 5K with each sale it will quickly add up. Always make sure that what you do is profitable.

Flipping

Flipping is when you buy an item, either a singular one or in bulk and then you sell it for a profit.  One of the best ways to do this will be to look at some online price guides to see how certain items are doing in the different worlds.  All you will need to do is buy it cheaply from one place and then sell it for more in another.

Slaying Flesh Crawlers

This is a method that is great for combat fans who want to make money and kill something at the same time.  Flesh Crawler mobs will drop items of value including herbs and runes which have a decent sale price. In the long-term, this method will not make you millions, but it helps to avoid the monotony of grinding at something else.  It is also better if you would rather do some killing.

Fletching

Fletching is another great way of making money in OSRS and is one of those skills that you do not have to level up very much to get the most out of it.  To start making money, you will need to buy some feathers in bulk as well as some oak logs. This allows you to make some cheap arrows in the form of a headless arrow.  You can then sell these headless arrows at a bulk price to make your profit and start the process again.

Picking Potatoes

Out of all the options that you have for making money with OSRS, picking potatoes is going to be the least interesting of all of them.  However, if you stick with this for long enough, you will be able to turn over a decent profit. If you pick potatoes for an hour and sell them as you go, you will probably make a profit of around 30K.  If you continue for longer, you will make more.
