Two Weeks Until Animal Crossing New Horizons Releases for the Nintendo Switch

Can you believe it?! There is only two weeks, exactly, until Animal Crossing New Horizons releases for the Nintendo Switch. A lot of new information has been released for the game. I’ll talk about some of it below. Also check out a new commercial for the game!

Animal Crossing New Horizons releases for the Nintendo Switch on March 20th, 2020. Thats two weeks from now! Oh and don’t forget, the special edition Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch is out a week from now.

While we wait, Nintendo continues to release new information about the game. We also got a lot previews from various websites recently too.

So what new information have we found out? As always, I’m sure I’m forgetting something here, but lets talk about some of the stuff:

Longer Island Names

We found out recently via Nintendo that we’ll be able to name our islands using ten letters this time around. Also, we won’t name the town right away. On our first “day”, we’ll set up our tent and then next thing we know, it’ll be night time and Nook will want us to get a campfire started. During a ‘warming’ ceremony, we’ll name our island.

This entire sequence is a tutorial that isn’t set during real time. Thats a first for the mainline AC franchise. Of course, after the naming ceremony is over, we’ll go to sleep and then wake up in ‘real time’. Neat eh?

Animated Wallpapers/floors

In New Horizons, there will be animated wallpaper/flooring that you can put in your house. For instance, we’ve know seen a wallpaper fishing actually swim around on your wall! Whoa.

Expanded Storage Space

Various videos have shown that Nintendo has blessed us with a bigger storage space for our clothes, furniture, and stuff. Not only that, but there is actually bigger menu where you can actually change your characters clothes and look at your various items. The way we deal with items in Animal Crossing looks cooler than ever.

And more!

We’ve seen so much since the New Horizons Direct. New items, such as a cool Wrestling figure, a rock climbing wall, and a building block stereo. There’s new outfits to wear, unique hairstyles, amazing looking towns, and plenty of new dialogue from the animals. Oh and Gulliver will have a new thing for you to do when you wake him up. I won’t say anything more (spoilers). Animal Crossing New Horizons looks like it’s going to be the best game in the series yet!
