Square Enix Will Announce Dragon Quest XI’s Japanese Release Date Next Month
Dragon Quest is one of my favorite rpg franchises. I bought both Dragon Quest 7 and 8 and enjoyed them a lot. Square Enix has been teasing the next installment in the series, Dragon Quest XI, for awhile now. Next month, they will finally reveal the release date for the game…in Japan.
Square Enix will hold a live stream on April 11th at 14:oo JST for Dragon Quest XI. The Japanese release date for the game will be announced during the stream. Dragon Quest XI is coming to the 3DS and the PlayStation 4. A Nintendo Switch version is also in the works. Dragon Quest XI is expected to be released this year in Japan.
It took a long time for Dragon Quest 7 and 8 to come to North America. I hope that Dragon Quest XI will come over quicker than those games, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
I’m especially excited about the 3DS version. I love the idea of a Dragon Quest that’ll let you play with retro graphics or modern graphics. This game looks like a ton of fun!
What do you think of Dragon Quest XI? Do you think we’ll see the game come to North America later this year or next year?
