OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Dev Diary #1
Earlier today, I tweeted out that Far Cry 5 would make the perfect backdrop for a Walking Dead video game, forgetting that one was actually already in the works. Although not by Ubisoft, Overkill Software is working on bringing The Walking Dead to life in a multiplayer FPS experience. Little has been released about this game, but today the developers broke their silence, releasing the first of (hopefully) many Dev Diaries. Check it out below!
Developed by Overkill Software and published by 505 Games, this zombie action adventure game looks like it will be fantastic. As a huge The Walking Dead fan, I cannot wait to see more from this group as they develop this experience. The team is working closely with creator Robert Kirkman, and its bound to be a great experience. Here is more from the developers,
OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op multiplayer FPS action game about surviving the threat of both the dead and the living by any means necessary. Each playable character, including the recently revealed Aidan, has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, play styles and background stories. It’s up to players to band together on a variety of raids and missions using stealth tactics or brute force to secure supplies and survivors to strengthen their camp.
