Over 100 Bug Fixes In Most Recent Five Nights at Freddy’s Update

Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach is the 16th game in the series and a major deviation from the formula that the franchise has become so well known for. The original games’ protagonist is an office-bound security guard who has the job of monitoring security cameras for unusual activity.

In contrast, Security Breach allows the player to explore the Freddy Fazbear Mega Plaza as Gregory, a lost child. This ups the jump scares and intensity tenfold. However, the game was released with a vast number of bugs and glitches and has duly been given mixed reviews. Now, a new patch aims to fix many of these problems.

Open World Behind The Bugs

FNAF Security Breach was released in late December of 2021 and provided players with a large, open map to explore. This was something that was alien to Soft Wool Studios. So, it’s rather unsurprising that the game has its fair share of bugs, especially in an era where more and more games are being released as unfinished products. The creative studio has promised to rectify the problems that have been present since release and hope that in doing so, they can add another smash hit to the already successful franchise.

FNAF games have been growing in popularity in the past decade because of their pure simplicity. The series went against the rules in modern-day gaming and instead of overloading on features and content, it stuck to a straightforward, uncomplicated, playable premise. FNAF has a simple horror concept that fans of the series are deeply connected with. The game however changed it up with the newest title and decided to go with a more contemporary formula. But it hasn’t quite hit the mark, and patch 1.05 could fix that.

Patch 1.05 Offers The Solution

In an attempt to bring fans back to their first-ever AAA FNAF title, Steel Wool Studios have listened to complaints and criticism and decided to act fast by releasing a patch that fixes major bugs and glitches. One of the biggest fan complaints was the unfair difficulty of the game, which was compounded by the manual save system and lack of stations where you could save your game.

Patch 1.05 addresses this problem by providing players with a new save station and an updated limit of over 50+ manual saves. This will make the gameplay easier and less tedious for both experienced and new FNAF players. More hiding spots, which were a much-needed addition to the base game, have also been added.

Besides these improvements to the gameplay, the update provides various other practical fixes such as a color-coding fix to the Day-care Generators. This makes them more akin to those found in FNAF: Help Wanted. The developers also felt it necessary to add a camera instruction card to the FazWatch to get players to use the cameras to plan their routes. Camera play has always been an integral part of this series and Steel Wool Studios want to incorporate more of it into this most recent title.

Other Small Fixes

Aside from the major fixes mentioned above, multiple other small bugs including conveyor belt speed, lobby hiding spots, Comedy Bots comedic routine, and light radius on S.T.A.F.F bots have been fixed. Now it’s up to FNAF fans to give the game a second go and a thumbs up or thumbs down.
