Kraino Origins

Its a terrible night for a curse! No, this isn’t a new Castlevania game, but if you love that series, then you should check out this review for Kraino Origins for the Nintendo Switch!

Kraino Origins is a action/adventure/platformer where you play as a skeleton-like hero who goes out to fight monsters to save the day. The game’s story is okay. Kraino Origins main focus is its gameplay, which will remind players of old school Castlevania a lot.

In Kraino Origins, you jump, swing your scythe, collect powerups, and fight all kinds of monsters. The game’s controls work really well. If you’ve ever played one of the older Castlevania games, then the level layouts and the world map will seem very familiar. Fans of old school action/adventure games will feel right at home with Kraino Origins. Be warned though, the game does have a high level of difficulty too. The bosses, especially, are pretty tough. Its still a fun game though.

As for its graphics, while the game does feel like an older game, its graphics feel like a modern 2D game. All of the characters and backgrounds are very detailed and nice looking.

Overall, Kraino Origins is a fun game. Its high level of challenge won’t be for everyone but if you love old school Castlevania-like games, then you’ll love Kraino Origins!
