Big Week – Rune Factory 5 Contest & Kirby and the Forgotten Land

This is a big week for Nintendo Switch owners, and further proof that the Nintendo Switch is one of the best consoles to own right now in 2022. Two big bangers are coming this week in Rune Factory 5 & Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Let’s take a quick look at each!

Rune Factory 5

This Tuesday, the next title in the Rune Factory 5 will be launching, and we have been playing it for well over a week. No reviews yet, but the game continues the long and storied Rune Factory franchise. Rune Factory 4 Special was a bit of an off title for me, and while I know so many people enjoyed it, it just wasn’t for me. I have high hopes for Rune Factory 5 as it appears to look more like a standard Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons experiences versus the wackiness that was Rune Factory 4!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

While some people really want to disagree with me, the Kirby franchise has been a niche franchise for Nintendo Switch. Sure, Kirby is a popular character and much loved in Smash Bros, but for a franchise with 20ish titles and only 25 million units sold…it’s a niche experience.

After playing the Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo, I’m ready to say this will be the biggest Kirby title ever, and I’m pretty sure it could crack 10 million units sold, if not more. This is going to be a great experience , and while it’s still more standard Kirby and less Mario Odyssey (which I personally wanted), I cannot wait to explore the colourful world, save some Waddle Dees, and so much more!
