Tank Troopers – Launch trailer

Tank Troopers, a downloadable tank game from Nintendo, was released today for the 3DS eshop. We have a launch trailer from Nintendo UK, more details about the game, and my thoughts on Tank Troopers below!

Tank Troopers is a new game from Nintendo for the 3DS eshop. It is available for download right now!

Here is how Nintendo describes the game:

“ATTENTION! Calling all troopers for six-player tank warfare! Choose a tank, pick troopers and battle your friends via local wireless. Each trooper has a special ability, from electric shocks to healing. Deploy them tactically to win more than 30 custom tanks with unique stats. An engaging single-player mode contains 30 stages, so you’ll have to devise a multitude of strategies and maneuvers to conquer them all. Battle with bombs, on teams or in a free-for-all – but always fight! Fight! FIGHT! ”

Tank Troopers includes single player, local multiplayer, and download play!

Based on the trailer and everything I know about the game, Tank Troopers looks like a lot of fun. I’m especially happy to hear it includes download play! With download play, you only need one copy of the game and friends with 3DS systems. Up to six people can play via download play and local multiplayer (which requires everyone to have a copy of the game).

The single player for Tank Troopers looks good, but it seems like the most fun will be with the multiplayer.
