Snakebyte Charge:Tower Pro
We’ve been reviewing a fair number of Snakebyte products over the last little while, although they have been all for the Nintendo Switch. The Snakebyte Charge:Tower Pro for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are the first items we’ve reviewed from this company not related to Nintendo. If our early impressions of both products is any indication, we will be purchasing more Snakebyte products for Xbox One and PS4 in the near future! Let’s check them out!
The Charge:Tower Pro for box Xbox One and Playstation 4 can charge devices in two ways. First, the charge dock on the top of the unit will charge 2 PS4 or 2 Xbox One controllers at the same time. Both controllers will fit nicely on top of the stand, displayed in a very cool, upside down vertical stance. The PS4 controller stand is a bit less involved, as the Xbox One controllers do require an extra battery pack adapter. Once installed on your Xbox One controller, however, you’d never notice the difference from an Xbox One controller without the rechargeable battery pack adapters.
These stands provide a secondary means of charging, whether for even more controllers – charged via USB cables – or a mobile phone. Two USB ports are available along the bottom of the stand, allowing multiple devices to be plugged in at the same time. Having this extra feature is a great way to save those precious wall outlets around your entertainment units. instead of plugging in 2 or 3 different devices just to charge your controllers and phones, you can now plug in one, and power everything together.
The less flashy, but equally as important feature of the Charge:Tower Pro is the racks that will hold up to 15 game or DVD discs. While most of my current media is digital – as reviewers are often sent digital codes over physical products to save on shipping costs – the stand was a great way for me to display my few physical titles, as well as some of my favorite, most watched DVDs and Blu Rays. Instead of having to constantly reach into my closets for discs, I can always have the ones I watch the most at arms reach of my system. It’s a great feature, and one that allows you to save space in what is usually a fairly cramped entertainment setup.
The Charge:Tower Pro from Snakebtye comes highly recommended from us at GamesReviews.com, and we plan on incorporating them into our review room once it is finished. If you are looking for a great storage solution that will save you outlet plugs and charge your controllers, look no further than this product. While the construction of the plastic base could be better, the product as a whole is a home run, especially for under $50!
