More Thoughts From Me #208: Time For A Snack (World)

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl-Gold is coming out this week for the Nintendo Switch. I won’t be able to get the game this week, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t! Let me tell you why I think Snack World will be the best game coming out this month.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl-Gold is a game developed by Level 5. They created Fantasy Life for the 3DS, Dark Cloud 1 and 2 for the PS2, Ni No Kuni 1 for the PS3 and Ni No Kuni 2 for the PS4, among many other games. They are, without a doubt, an rpg powerhouse. So you just know that Snack World will be good.

First of all, I should mention Snack World character creator. Just like Fantasy Life, Snack World players will be able to create their own character! You can change their hair, nose, mouth, eyes, and more. It looks like a really cool character creator. I loved Fantasy Life’s creator and Snack World’s looks even better.

Though, unlike Fantasy Life, Snack World is more of a a Diablo style game with Fantasy Life’s graphics. In Snack World, you take on missions, loot dungeons, and fight monsters. The game does look like its been designed with a more pick and play attitude than Diablo. You select missions from a menu instead of traveling a open world. There is a hub town.

There will be a lot of side quests and you’ll be able to take those on by yourself or by local wireless or online multiplayer. Its unknown if you’ll be able to carry loot over from multiplayer to single player or vice versa. Hopefully!

I really like Snack World’s graphics. They remind me a lot of Fantasy Life. It has a very pleasing cartoon look to it.

The combat, meanwhile, seems very simple but should be a lot of fun.

I wish I could grab Snack World this week but I think its very unlikely. Though I highly recommend anyone who can get it should get it. I will be grabbing a copy of this game as soon as I can.
