The Best Slot Machines of 2016
2016 is said to have been one of the worst years ever. It might have been in many aspects – Donald Trump won the elections in the US, we’ve lost legendary actors, musicians, and singers, and we’ve been disappointed by a series of highly anticipated movies (especially those in the DC Comics universe).
When it comes to casual games, especially video slot machines, 2016 was not a bad year at all. Last year has seen classic characters revived, and new stories told on the smallest on the screens, giving us new mobile games to enjoy. Here are the best ones of the fruitful crop of last year.
Lost Vegas
“Mars Attacks” has shown us what Las Vegas would look like after an alien invasion. Lost Vegas, in turn, has taken us into a Las Vegas overrun by the living dead. The zombie-themed video slot machine has been released at the 7 Sultans Casino in time for Halloween, offering its players the creepiest gambling trip they could ever dream of.
Lost Vegas players can choose sides in the game: they can either join a rag-tag team of survivors on their quest to find a safe place or join the living dead (mostly typical patrons of casinos) seeking for flesh to consume. The game is not without scary moments – like when a rotten hand throws a fistful of money at the player or when the lights go out, leaving zombies and survivors alike in the darkness.
Jungle Jim: El Dorado
Another trip, this time to the depths of the Amazonian jungle. Jungle Jim: El Dorado was released last September at the 7 Sultans, and was well received by the players (although many of them consider it a bit too similar to another famous video slot machine). The game has beautiful graphics, many great features, and big wins for desktop and mobile players alike.
Tarzan
Last, but not least, a late addition to the 7 Sultans’ 2016 lineup: a video slot machine inspired by none other than one of the most popular characters ever created: Tarzan. Inspired in part by Disney’s rendition of the character, the Tarzan slot machine takes its players on a journey to the North African jungle. On the game’s reels, we meet explorers Jane Porter and his father, Tarzan’s movie sidekick Cheeta, as well as a series of other animals (no apes aside from a chimp, though).
The game is filled with bonuses and features – it is a worthy alternative for the casino’s traditional December release (a Christmas-themed slot machine).
