An Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Direct Will Air This Thursday (2/20)

Nintendo has announced a Direct all about Animal Crossing: New Horizons for this Thursday! We have the details and some thoughts about the Direct below.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Direct will be this Thursday (2/20) at 8 am central time. The Nintendo Direct will be 25 minutes long.

As an Animal Crossing fan, I am extremely excited about this. Fans of the series have been waiting seven years for a new game. Last year at E3, we found out a new game in the series was coming to the Switch in 2020. We gotten some additional information about the game since E3 2019 but not much. The Direct this Thursday will be the first major info reveal since last year’s E3.

So what could we see in this 25 minute Direct? Hopefully a lot of new things. We know about the beginning of the game but we don’t know how Isabelle factors into the game or who the new special characters are or where all our shops will be. Here’s hoping Nintendo will also reveal what the game’s amiibo support is too.

Its doubtful Nintendo will be able to cover everything that fans want to know about the game but then, have you seen how much info is put into those mini Directs?! So who knows for sure what we’ll see in the Direct. My only fear is that it’ll be a rehash of information we already know. I don’t think that’ll happen though. There’s just so much other things to reveal about New Horizons!
