Welcome to Kraken Academy’s Demo
Kraken Academy isn’t a normal school. Sure there’s classes, clubs, a dorm room, a broccoli girl, and a giant kraken but other than that, its pretty different. And if you want to visit the school, you can try out the demo for Kraken Academy right now on the Nintendo Switch. I did and I live to tell the tale.
Kraken Academy is coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 24th. There is a demo available now for the game and I checked it out.
What’s Kraken Academy about? Well, you play as the aforementioned school’s newest student who finds on his first day that this isn’t a regular school. His first clue is the broccoli girl who shows him around and gives me a bat to destroy stuff with. Then he’s off to the lake to get a costume and runs into…
Yes, a giant Kraken!
Kraken Academy’s demo isn’t very long. It introduces the school and hints at some stuff you’ll be able to do in the actual game. In fact, a couple of the characters in the game point out that this is just a demo. Very meta!
I enjoyed the game’s pixelated graphics and what I saw of its gameplay. In this demo though, it was the game’s humor that really stood out. Kraken Academy doesn’t take itself seriously. The dialogue in the demo is pretty funny.
There is a lot of potential for Kraken Academy to be a very good game. The demo just scratches the surface, but it definitely grabbed my attention!
School opens on February 24! Will you enroll in Kraken Academy?
