Kirby and the Forgotten Land Gets Release Date
Nintendo announced today that Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be coming out in March. Check the newest trailer for the game, more details on it, and some thoughts from us.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land will release for the Nintendo Switch on March 25th!
According to a press release we received from Nintendo, Kirby will find himself in “an unknown land’ where he finds that “Waddle Dees are being kidnapped in droves by the Beast Pack!” Kirby will enlist the help of a new alley named Elfilin. Kirby’s copy powers are back and he’ll also be able to get the help of a Bandana Waddle Dee when a second player joins locally!
This game also introduces a new “central hub” called Waddle Dee Town. “The town will develop more and more based on the number of Waddle Dees you rescue as you progress. You will notice different shops opening and be able to enjoy some of the townsfolk’s favorite games. Kirby can even help out in the Waddle Dee Café. You’ll need to quickly prepare customers’ orders to keep them satisfied and aim for a high score. You’ll also encounter Wise Waddle Dee in Waddle Dee Town, who will pass along helpful hints.”
Forgotten Land also has internet connectivity! If you connect your game to the internet, you can ” learn details based on global player data, such as the total number of Waddle Dees rescued around the world and the current most popular copy ability”.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a game with 3D environments and based on the trailer, some of the areas are more open to be explored while others are a bit two dimensional like the old days.
Without a doubt, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is looking like a really fun game! The graphics might be the best Kirby has looked yet and the gameplay looks like the classic Kirby fan that we’ve seen before. But..I noticed that Kirby and pals were fishing in the trailer?! Does this mean there is a fishing mini-game in the Forgotten Land?! I hope so! Love fishing mini-games.
We don’t have too long to wait for this one. March 25 will be here before you know it!
What do you think of Kirby and the Forgotten Land? Will you be picking it up in March?
