When Ubisoft first announced their brand new franchise titled The Crew, perspective fans were painted a picture of cruising across the United States, going from major city to major city, and enjoying everything in between. Console owners were promised a wide variety of cars, a great deep story, and plenty of races and events to take part in. And while Ubisoft delivered on some of those promises, what ultimately landed in the laps of gamers was a half finished racing game which attempted to shoe-horn in a story about murder.

I mentioned in my preview of Wolfenstein 2 that the game’s story confused me. I hadn’t played the previous Wolfenstein game and the second one follows very closely to that without reintroducing its characters for newbie players. The Nintendo Switch has gotten some really mature third party games like Doom and Skyrim. And today, we got our first game for the Switch where we get to kill Nazis! One of the better addition to the Far Cry formula with the launch of Far Cry 5 was the host of additional characters within the game that you genuinely cared about. So often I felt myself wanting to know more about a specific person, their back story, and how they ended up in Hope County. And thankfully, through DLC, Ubisoft has allowed us to get some perspective on these other characters.
