Rockstar rumoured to make an appearance at GamesCom
Both Rockstar and Take Two have been added to the GamesCom 2013 lineup on the Official GamesCom website.
Rockstar can apparently be found at Hall 5.2, Stand: B030 C031 at this years event and are listed to be showing Entertainment software (Games). This may just be an error on the site, but it’s hard to contemplate how such an error would happen to begin with. In a press conference (see video below), Managing Director of Koelnmess GmbH Katherina C Hamma confirmed some big names from the video game industry to be appearing including Activision, Blizzard, Ubisoft, Konami and EA. However, she neglects to mention either R* or Take Two, and no further mention of R* can be found anywhere else surrounding the event. An unusual omission considering how massive the hype currently is for Rockstars’ latest GTAV. Rockstar were absent at E3 so why they decided to make an appearance at Gamescom instead is anyone’s guess.
If this rumour does become a reality expect R* to be showing some more of GTAV (although some other IP news would be nice too.. Agent or Red Dead Redemption 2 for example) when the event gets underway on August 21st.
