More Thoughts From Me: Fusion Fun With Funko

I’ve always thought that Funko pops were neat and while I haven’t bought too many, I do own a few. I’d love to have more. And so when I saw the upcoming Funko Fusion game, I thought it looked neat. The more I saw of it, the more I wanted to play it. Let’s talk about this neat game!

Funko Fusion is coming out this month, September 13, 2024. The game will feature characters from Back to the Future, Jaws, Umbrella Academy, Battlestar Galactica, Masters of the Universe, and more!

The characters look like the cute Funko pops and the game reminds me of a Lego game. I was absolutely delighted that Back to the Future and JAWS are in this but also I’m excited about Umbrella Academy and Masters of the Universe. Its cool to see characters from Invincible, which I think has never had a game before in this too. Even Chucky is in this! Wow.

Funko Fusion looks like a delightful blend of franchises. I think its going to be a game that geeks like me will like as long as we can stop outside of the “Oh it has to be super serious” and embrace the Lego-like humor of it all. In a way Funko Fusion reminds me of Lego Dimensions but without the need for toys of course.

I think the biggest surprise is that Mega Man will be in this. MEGA MAN. Also Knight Rider, Voltron, Scott Pilgrim, and more. Wow. Of course if the game is popular, they’ll likely add even more characters via DLC. Let’s hope so.
