BREAKING: Four Xbox Games Coming to PlayStation and Switch
Four Xbox games will be coming to PlayStation and Switch, it has been announced.
The games, which haven’t been officially named, will be announced in the not too distant future.
Although the names haven’t been named, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed that it will not be Starfield or Indiana Jones.
It came during an official podcast, labelled a “business update” and promising to explore the future of Xbox. Thousands of people watched the video, which launched at 8pm this evening.
It comes after weeks of speculation and rumour that hit after discussion of Sea of Thieves and HiFi Rush coming to other consoles. Insiders piled onto the rumours, each adding their own take on it. Internet discussion quickly devolved into the worst of predictions, including Microsoft leaving the console market.
Some insiders pulled back on their claims, but it did little to subside the level of conversation. People still went into tonight’s podcast expecting the absolute worst.
Microsoft’s odd decision to wait the better part of two weeks after the rumours broke were criticised.
“I do have a fundamental belief that over the next five or ten years exclusive games,” Spencer said. “Games that are exclusive to one piece of hardware, are going to be a smaller and smaller part of the game industry.”
He said they looked at games that are over a year old. Two are community driven. The others were smaller games that “weren’t meant as system sellers”.
