In Omertà: The Five Families, players step into the gritty underworld of 20th-century New York City. In this high-stakes game of power, players navigate the treacherous landscape as the head of a crime family, vying for control and dominion over the sprawling city.

Designed by George Manios, Omertà: The Five Families is a gripping area control and action point game designed for 2 to 5 players. It plays in 90 to 120 minutes, depending on the scenario you play, for ages 14+.

Each turn starts with a play of a plot card to gain precious action points. These points become the currency of your authority, as you strategically spend them to strengthen your grip on the city. Recruit and strategically place your capos in key locations, expanding your territory, and boosting your coffers with the proceeds of illegal activities. Dabble in legal enterprises, establishing businesses that promise lucrative returns, while dispatching your trusted associates to maintain control.

But the game isn’t just about expanding your empire — it’s about playing the political game. Throw caution to the wind as you bribe the police to disrupt your rivals or the newspapers to polish your public image and increase your Respect. Amidst the chaos, you’ll need to carefully manage alliances and rivalries with the other crime families, eliminating hostile family leaders who stand in the way of your ascent.

The Kickstarter campaign launched and funded on January 9th, and runs until January 26th. The standard edition pledge ($50 USD) includes the game and all applicable stretch goals. The deluxe edition pledge ($95 USD) includes the standard edition, the deluxe component pack that upgrades most tokens to miniatures, and all applicable stretch goals. Verified retailers qualify for a 50 percent discount on the deluxe pledge, including stretch goals, with a minimum order of 4 games.
