Car Detailing Simulator Review
If you’ve been around GamesReviews.com for a bit, you know I am a sucker for Simulation games. So naturally, when we acquired this code for review it was sent my way. I take that as a badge of honor. Currently, I am playing through Electrician Simulator on PC as well. But this time around, we are cleaning some cars in Car Detailing Simulator.
In Car Detailing Simulator, you get a chance to renew any car and restore its splendor at the request of demanding customers! A nice and well-groomed vehicle can be the pride of every human being! Clean, polish and marvel at your creations in this game where every little detail counts!
While there is a lack of any sort of licensing in this game, you can tell the kind of cars they are going for and honestly it doesn’t really matter. The entire premise (and satisfaction) you get from this game is ooooooohhhhhhh shiny car. In the real world, I don’t really pay too much attention to the visuals of my cars (detailing, washing, etc) so I find it funny that I get great satisfaction from doing these things on a game.
The game mechanics are incredibly simple, get your car, do the tasks listed at the top and move on to the next one. You have a multitude of kits to utilize to complete the tasks each with their own unique function and uses such as Interiors, Windows, Etc. Each task also comes with a progress bar, so you know where you stand in completion of any given task. However, like other games similar to it you may struggle to find exactly where you are lacking in order to complete.
The visuals I would say are fair, all of the effort here went mostly into the car models which do have a large variety available. But your garage is basically lifeless and a little lackluster to be honest. As far as soundtrack, well there is nothing really here, so I was playing my own music while I went through the game.
Where the game does shine however is doing the actual tasks, the functions all work well, and you get that serotonin boost of doing a job well done. But the controls often don’t help in the process, even though you have a button to highlight errors, like scratches, they are often hard to see. A lot of the cleaning implements are just hard to use. Even the act of using a power wash, which should be the most fun part of cleaning down the car, does not give that satisfying impact you expect.
Overall while it was a noble effort, if you are a big fan of detailing maybe you can find more enjoyment in it, but if not, then I suggest other simulators like Power Washing Sim, Gas Station Simulator, and others over this one unfortunately.
