More Details on the Google Pixel Watch

During today’s Google showcase, fans of the tech giant were not only treated to new information about the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, but also Google’s upcoming Google Pixel Watch. With a sleek design that would fit any professional look, Google is looking to compete with Apple in the smart watch space, and perhaps dethrone Smasung as the leader in Android smart watch technology. Was what they showed today enough to convince you? Let’s take a look!

Although the Pixel Watch has a ton of great features and a really slick look, I think one of my favourite things is the inclusion of Fitbit features. As someone always looking to find ways to push myself to be healthier, having these features right at the tips of my fingers is a huge plus, and I cannot wait to try them!

Until we get to try the watch ourselves, it might be too early to tell you what we think – that being said, there are tons of great things I’m excited about. The look is classy, something that almost all Android smartwatches (especially the ones from Samsung) lacks. This would pair well with a suite, something other companies have not been able to say. The watch is also water resistant, is made with durable, recycled materials, and appears that it will be the number one competitor to the Apple Watch. As someone who has almost exclusively used the Apple Watch – it’s the only real reason I own an iPhone at this point – I’m looking forward to swapping back to Android with the Google Pixel watch.

Here is what you can expect:

  • Swapable bands for the watch face to fit any look
  • Fitbit integration
  • 24 hour battery life
  • Access to the Google Suite (Google Pay, Gmail, Google Assistant, etc.)
  • Choice of Matte Black, Gold or Silver
  • Weighs 1.26 ounces

Should the opportunity arise, we will have a full review of the watch in the near future. The device is available for preorder now, and costs $350 USD. The watch is set to launch alongside the Pixel 7 on October 13th.
