Rumour: Canceled Superman game could have had Bizarro as villain
Supposedly leaked art for a canceled Superman game has revealed its villain could have been Bizarro.
Rocksteady were working on a Superman game after finishing Arkham Knight, but it got canned by Warner Brothers. The studio, which has worked almost exclusively on Batman games since before 2009, is now developing a Suicide Squad game.
Now concept artist Jerad Marantz has revealed concept art for Bizarro, which he says was designed for a cancelled game.
Posted to ArtStation, he said: “One of my favorites DC characters. Just glad I got to do a pass.”
Other than that it was for a cancelled game, Mr Marantz doesn’t say what game it might have been for.
Bizarro is a “mirror image” Superman, equal in power but without any of the noble goals. He’s often presented as trying to get out of the shadow of his more famous brother.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was announced in August. You will play as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark in an open-world Metropolis. It will release for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and PC in 2022.
