Xbox Hinting at More Stock Ahead of Launch?
With the initial wave of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S preorders done and out of the way, fans are wondering what is next…well at least fans who were not able to snag their preorders yesterday. While things in Europe seemed to work fairly well – outside of a few hiccups with some retailers – things in North America were terrible. Sites crashing, carts not loading, and some sites (Amazon) not even listing their preorder consoles until well after the 11:00 AM time that Xbox greenlight the process.
As we reported yesterday, EB Games in Australia offered a second wave of preorders, promising delivery in 2020. As of right now, a promised second wave in Europe and North America is no where to be seen. When asking Xbox Canada, we were told that there was nothing new to share on that front at this time, but if details did emerge, they would let us know. Fair enough – it was what I expected to be told.
Although they didn’t promise a second wave of preorders in North America, the official Xbox account in the United States had this to say,
“We are humbled by the record-breaking demand for Xbox Series X and S. Huge thanks to everyone for the excitement. If you weren’t successful today be sure to sign up with retailers for updates, and expect more consoles to be available on November 10.”

Although it sounds like the Microsoft Store will not be offering a second wave of preorders, there does seem to be some indication that other retailers might, as Xbox urges consumers to sign up for updates from their local retailer . Only time will tell!
Thankfully, staff here at GamesReviews were able to get preorders for both the Xbox Series X and the PS5, so expect full, next-gen news and reviews from us when the consoles launch in mid November!
