The Biggest Games Coming To The PS5
The much-awaited successor to the Sony PlayStation 4 was announced in 2019, with shipments expected to commence in late 2020. As the PlayStation 5 was announced, there was a lot of media frenzy around the launch, which was long overdue.
A significant upgrade over the previous generation console, PS5 boasts of an all-new architecture, higher resolution support, faster storage, and the graphics appear significantly more punchy.
While the initial line up of games announced back in June appeared to be pretty impressive, many more titles have subsequently been announced, which appears to make the newest console from Sony a must buy, for avid gamers. Those interested in esports betting too are looking forward towards the new lineup of games as the older generation had been somewhat less stacked on competitive gaming compared to the rival Xbox.
Some of the major titles confirmed for the new PlayStation are:
Assassins Creed Valhalla
The game sees the player in the form of a Viking king, leading his people from Norway to the shores of England, looking to settle there. On the way, they encounter a Saxon force, making the settlement a difficult affair. The game allows players to manage settlements, forge partnerships, and raid towns to capture resources.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
The latest installment of the Call Of Duty franchise, expected to be announced in November 2020, takes the player back into the 1980s, where they encounter known faces from history, as they attempt to pursue a mysterious Soviet agent.
FIFA 21
Unsurprisingly. EA sports latest installment of FIFA will be coming to PS5, with an extra dose of realism, faster loading, and enhanced haptic feedback via the controller.
Fortnite
Arriving at launch, the players can expect aesthetic and visual upgrades compared to the previous version of the game.
Ghostwire 5 Tokyo
It is a PS5 exclusive. Set in Tokyo, a city that has been ravaged by a paranormal event, and most of the population is wiped out. The city is occupied by spirits looking to plunder the city and its survivors. The player is one of the survivors, who gains supernatural abilities and must protect the city and its survivors against the savages using their paranormal abilities.
Gran Turismo 7
Another PS5 exclusive, it is not clear when the game will be launched. The developer is working in next-generation simulation graphics to provide an experience as realistic as possible.
Hitman 3
Launching in January 2021, the game looks to finish the storyline of World of Assassination. The trailer shows Agent 47 scaling a skyscraper in Dubai and donning various disguises.
Madden 21
Another major title from EA sports of the hugely popular series in the USA, the game will come with extraordinary graphics, extreme realism, haptic feedback, and spatial audio providing a serious upgrade from the previous version.
Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
Although there have been variations of the game, the famed detective will be making his debut on PS5 as a young detective traveling to the Mediterranean in order to uncover the mystery of his mother’s death.
Control
The critically acclaimed game on a supernatural theme will be making it to the PS5, although the developers have not given a date regarding the same, just putting out a teaser.
