Cosmetics play such a huge part in Fortnite. Whilst for many players there is a lot of emphasis on honing their skills and becoming the best players they possibly can. For others, there is a lot of significance placed on appearance.

This means that the Fortnite item shop is a popular place to be for many fans, as they look to equip themselves with the most eye-catching items that are available to them.

There is such a wealth of different appearances to choose from and many different ways for you to acquire them. What is the Megavolt Pickaxe?

A lot of the cosmetics that you receive are part of sets. In this case, the Megavolt Pickaxe is part of the Wild Shock set. This harvesting tool is a rare gem that released back in September last year as part of Chapter 1 Season 10. The set itself also included the Hotwire skin, which was a shockingly eye-catching skin with an electric device on the from and a black mask. There was also the Turbocoil back bling, which fit the part of a shock set very well.

How Rare is the Megavolt Pickaxe?

One hot topic in Fortnite is how rare an item is. This of course makes what you have more valuable depending on the rarity. Given the way in which a lot of cosmetics in the game are earned, there are Fortnite items that are considerably rarer than others. This often refers to items that you may have had to have bought a real-life device for such as a console or smartphone. Some are also locked behind specific seasons and are only obtainable in that period.

As far as the Megavolt Pickaxe goes, this is considered to be a rare Fortnite Pickaxe. This is probably due to how long ago it was available since a new chapter has since passed. Rarity grows as time goes on and unless its something that is often in rotation, you are always going to have the desired Fortnite item on your person if you have it already.

How to Obtain the Megavolt Pickaxe

To get your hands on the Megavolt Pickaxe, you would have had to pay the price of 800 V-Bucks. This was available in the Fortnite item shop as part of the Wild Shock set. If cosmetics aren’t available such as these at the time that you are reading this, then you are going to have to wait until they are back in the rotation. The Megavolt Pickaxe has thankfully been an item that has been rotated before, the last appearing earlier this year in February.
