5 Reasons Why a PC Gamer Should Consider Playing Mobile Games

Mobile games exist in a different world to PC games. The two typically don’t mix and there are uncommon exceptions where someone will enjoy both PC games and mobile games. Frankly, if you have access to a gaming computer and regularly play on it, then there’s little reason for you to play something on a much smaller screen.

However, there are still plenty of benefits when it comes to mixing your mobile and PC gaming as long as you do it in moderation. So to help you out, we’ve put together 5 reasons why a dedicated PC gamer may want to consider picking up their phone and downloading a game or two.

  1. It’s a great way to kill some time

Mobile games are a fantastic way to kill time during a commute, if you’re waiting for someone or even if you’re on the toilet. Of course, mobile games can be addictive and suck up more of your time than you’d imagine, so it’s good to practice moderation and limit the amount of time you spend on video games–even mobile ones!

  1. Remember that microtransactions are optional in a free game

If there’s one thing that PC gamers hate, it’s microtransactions. This is especially true if there are microtransactions in games that already cost full price to purchase. Thankfully, mobile games can usually be played for free and microtransactions are usually optional but can help you progress faster. For example, you can look for the best place to buy OSRS gold and speed up your progress in RuneScape to catch up with your friends. You can also buy cosmetics that make your character look different or cooler, but you don’t necessarily need to buy those things.

  1. Mobile games have come a long way in the past few years

From mobile eSports to fully-featured 3D experiences, mobile games have come a long way since the humble days of Snake and Java-powered apps. There are countless mobile games that are far more advanced than past offerings, giving players full action games, driving experiences and realistic graphics that could rival most low-powered gaming PCs. Of course, there’s nothing quite like the full experience of a triple-A title on a powerful PC, but considering the cost of gaming hardware versus a basic smartphone, there’s no doubt that mobile gaming has advanced considerably since its inception.

  1. There are usually social aspects to mobile games

Mobile games are often known as “social” games because of the interactions between players. While some mobile games do have multiplayer features, there’s usually an indirect interaction between players such as sharing progress on social media, challenging your friends to top scores and occasionally working together to defeat strong enemies.

  1. They might even be cheaper to play than PC games

At the end of the day, most people play video games because they want some entertainment. If that’s the case, then there’s no reason to invest in expensive hardware and video game prices when there are smartphone games that are free or very low in price.
