Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark
I keep forgetting what this game is called. Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark is just not a title that sticks in your head. So what about the game itself? Is Fell Seal a good turn-based strategy rpg, an ok one, or just another Final Fantasy Tactics pretender? Here is my review of Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark the PlayStation 4!
Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark is a very intersting game. On one hand its story and characters are not all that interesting but on the hand, its gameplay is very solid.
I wouldn’t say its story is horrible. It does have potential but none of its characters really have any personality and that makes it hard to care about the story. The gameplay of Fell Seal is really what will keep you coming back.
If you like already like tactical rpgs, then you’ll feel right at home with Fell Seal. It doesn’t do anything different from any other stratetgy rpg out there, but its a very well put together game.
The battles are much like what you’d find in Final Fantasy Tactics. You move your characters around on a grid and takes turns with the enemy. All of the menus, in battle and out of battle, are easy to navigate. I did think the game’s battle cursor was a bit hard to see at times, though that didn’t hurt the game too much.
One of the things I like most of about this game is the job system. There are a lot of jobs and a lot of abilities to learn. Plus, you can learn multiple abilities from multiple jobs at once and assign at least two jobs to each character. I like the game’s skill tree a lot. Its easy to navigate and level up your characters.
Fell Seal also makes it easy to do random battles by picking the patrol option from any area you visit. Handy!
This game isn’t Final Fantasy Tactics but its a very solid strategy rpg that fans of the genre will surely love.
It also have wonderful graphics and good music/sound. Fell Seal is one of the better tactical rpgs I’ve played in recent years. And even on its easiest mode, Fell Seal will challenge you and make you consider carefully where you want to move your characters and who you should attack. Its easy to die in this game!
I don’t think Fell Seal would make anybody a tactical rpg fan if they are not already one. The game’s story just isn’t that great and the game overall does nothing special but if you like strategy rpgs, then you won’t care about the story or that its not a special game. Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark is a worthy strategy rpg.
Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark gets an 7.5 out of 10.
