Devil May Cry 5 Demo Thoughts
A new demo for Devil May Cry 5 came out today for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. I just played it on PS4. Here are my thoughts on the demo!
Its been awhile since I’ve played a Devil May Cry game. Last one I played was Devil May Cry 3 and I didn’t care for it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the second game either. The original game though, wow, I loved that game.
So I didn’t know what to expect when I downloaded the Devil May Cry 5 demo. Would I like it?
As it turns out, I liked the demo a lot. Devil May Cry 5’s gameplay reminds me a lot of the first game. Its fast, action-packed, and really fun. I love the hoverboard! The sword and gun moves are cool too.
And then there’s the graphics…wow. The graphics blew me away. Devil May Cry 5 is so much more detailed then any of the other games in the series. From the buildings to the cars to the people, I was just amazed by the demo’s graphics.
I also love how tables, chairs, lamps, and cars (basically most of the scenery in the demo) are fully destructible. I couldn’t help myself. I kept destroying tables, chairs, and especially cars!
The enemies were pretty easy to defeat…until I got to the big boss. That guy was huge! And he was pretty hard. I did not defeat him.
I said retry and….the game took me back to the beginning of the demo! What?! No. Just no. There should have been a checkpoint in there somewhere. Sheesh. What about that phone booth? Why wasn’t that a checkpoint?! Whew.
In any case, other than being defeated and having to go all the way back to the beginning, I had a lot of fun with the demo. I would play it again. I have to go back and try to defeat that boss!
Have you played the new Devil May Cry 5 demo? What do you think of it?
