How to Earn a Crown in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

If you’ve been watching YouTuber’s play Captain Toad Treasure Tracker on Nintendo Switch, you might have seen that some of their Toad’s are running around with a crown upon their heads. And further, you might wonder how they earned those crowns. It wasn’t an easy task, I can assure you of that, but one that was rewarding none-the-less. As many YouTubers will agree, this is easily the hardest level in the entire game. Collect 5000 coins, and complete 50 maze like levels. That’s right, we are talking about Mummy-Me Maze Forever!

Our good friend Abdallah played through Mummy-Me Maze Forever for a few hours, attemping to complete the entire challenge while not taking any damage. After numerous attempts – but no swearing mind you! – he was able to complete the task, and based on his reactions, it was all very, VERY worth it.

Your reward for doing this? Having a crown to wear as you play through the rest of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Want to start from Level 1 and play through the entire game again? You can do it wearing a crown! Want to speed run the levels you haven’t tackled yet. Now you can do it, wearing a crown.

It is great when Nintendo adds these little incentives into their games, pushing players to complete the hardest challenge by providing them with a unique reward. In Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the reward was gold kart pieces. Now the reward is a crown, and it’s a fantastic little addition to an already great adventure.

While it’s nothing mind blowing, I cannot wait to show off my crown, letting everyone know I’m one of the few who managed to beat Mummy-Me Maze Forever! Have you earned your crown yet?
