Aladdin Characters in Disney Magic Kingdoms

Starting on March 9th, 2018, characters from the Aladdin franchise are back and available through gem chests. For 60 gems, players can open and unlock buildings, decorations, and characters from Aladdin, including the street rat himself – previously only available during the Aladdin event. Since none of these characters can be purchase outside the chests, the “Is ‘x’ Worth It?” questions are based on the characters abilities to further the game, not your decision to purchase or not.

Is Genie Worth It? If you are looking to level up all the Aladdin characters, having Genie will definitely help in getting those necessary items. His ability to spawn items outside of the Aladdin franchise is sadly limited to the Mischievous Crown and the Cheshire Cat Ears.

Is Aladdin Worth It? Aladdin is likely the best in the bunch when it comes to this franchises characters, as he can not only provide ample tokens for his own characters, but also for others (more so than Genie, for example).

Is Jasmine Worth It? If you are planning on sending a character home and not utilizing their abilities, Jasime might fit that bill. However, her ability to produce Aladdin ears is fairly valuable if you don’t have Aladdin at Level 10. Her lack of items – both from the Aladdin set and others – is severly lacking.

Is Abu Worth It? When it comes to using Abu outside of the Aladdin franchise, there isn’t a ton of use for him since he can only produce Kanga Apron token. However, when it comes to leveling up characters from the Aladdin universe, Abu is a great help as he can produce ears for Aladdin, Jasmine, The Flying Carpet, Genie, Jafar, and Iago!

Is The Flying Carpet Worth It? In terms of Token drops, The Flying Carpet is one of the least valuable characters for the Aladdin franchise. However, having something that flies over your Kingdom while most things walk, is a pretty big plus in our books. So aesthetically, it’s great to have him around!

Is Iago Worth It? Like most of the Aladdin characters, Iago is best a providing tokens for his own collection. That being said, not many characters in Disney Magic Kingdoms can produce bolts of cloth for making various outfits for characters, so gaining that from Iago is a HUGE plus.

Is Jafar Worth It? Outside of the cool factor – that is how great Jafar looks walking around the Kingdom – there isn’t a ton of use for Jafar in Disney Magic Kingdoms. He lacks the ability to interact with numerous other characters and provides no resources outside his own collection. Cool, yes. Useful, not really.
