The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Nintendo Switch Trailer
Last night, Bethesda revealed the first trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Nintendo Switch. We have the trailer and my impressions of it!
Skyrim on the Switch has features that you won’t see on other systems. First of all, it has been revealed that Skyrim has amiibo functionally. The game will be compatible with, at least, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo!
I was really surprised and delighted to see Zelda amiibo were being used for this game. And the Link costume and weapons looked great!
Here’s hoping we’ll see other amiibo being used too. If amiibo functionally were the only addition to the Switch version, I still would have been very happy. Bethesda, however, took things a step further.
Another Switch exclusive feature for Skyrim is motion controls. In this version of the game, players will be able to swing a Joy-Con for a sword, use the motion controls for a bow, and do other things too. The motion controls look fun and add a different way to play Skyrim.
It looks like Bethesda has taken their time and created a unique version of Skyrim for the Switch. Plus, this version will have all the DLC from previous versions. Its nice to see that the game isn’t just a straight port!
Here is how the game is described by Nintendo’s youtube channel:
“The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the epic fantasy from Bethesda Game Studios, arrives for Nintendo Switch. The legendary open-world adventure where you can be anyone and do anything, now allows you to play anywhere – at home on your TV or on the go. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch console includes all-new exclusive features like motion control for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda franchise, and amiibo compatibility. Coming to Nintendo Switch Holiday 2017.”
