Yooka-Layee Gamescom Trailer
Gamescom has started in Germany and while not a lot of news comes out of the convention (its not E3), there are occasionally some cool things that appear out of the event! One such cool thing is a new trailer of the upcoming indie game Yooka-Layee. The game is being made by Playtonic Games, a company made up of former Rare (Donkey Kong Country 1-3 for SNES) employees. We won’t be seeing the game till next year, but this new look at Yooka-Layee is fantastic. We have the trailer below and my thoughts on it!
Yooka-Layee is coming to the Wii U, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 of 2017. There is a lot of talent and a lot of hype surrounding this game. People love a good 3D platformer and Yooka-Layee has looked like one from the start. This new footage though…well…
Take a look at the new Gamescom trailer:
Doesn’t Yooka-Layee look amazing now?! When it was first shown, Yooka-Layee was a very colorful game, but there was not much detail to it. Now the game is full of detail and a lot of amazing environments. There is also a lot of unique gameplay in the trailer. Sure, there is bunch of platforming, but the characters also swim, kart ride, turn into a truck (?!), and more. The graphics and gameplay look out of this world. Yooka-Layee reminds me of a Rare game and a Ratchet & Clank game. Both of those reminders are very good things. I was excited about this game before, but now I’m even more excited! I can’t wait till the game hits the Wii U (and other systems) early next year.
Are you looking forward to Yooka-Layee? What do you think of the new trailer?!
