Lightwood Games Announces Worcle Worlds For Wii U, 3DS, Steam, and Xbox One
Yesterday, we got an announcement from Lightwood Games about a game and now today we get another game announcement from the developer. Today’s new game is called Worcle Worlds and its been announced for the Wii U, 3DS, Steam, and Xbox One. We have some details about the Wii U and 3DS versions below, a trailer for the game, and my thoughts on it all!
Worcle Worlds, a new puzzle word game from Lightwood Games, was officially announced today. The developer announced on twitter the other day that the game would be coming in October. And now we have more details about what the game is!
According to the developer (in an e-mail), Worcle Worlds is “- at heart – a word puzzle game. Of course it is. That’s what we do! The name Worcle is short for “words in a circle”. The core gamplay is an endless puzzler (like Tetris) that has you firing letter balls into a circle to make words. As you make words, the balls disappear everything rolls around and you can set up clever cascades for high scoring combos (like Zuma). ”
The game will have “ten game worlds, which form a story mode. There are hundreds of missions to complete – a mix of predefined puzzles and open-ended challenges – as you progress through the game. ” There will also a multiplayer mode where you can play “two player battles, where making long words or impressive combos can wreak havoc with the other player.”
Both versions of the game, 3DS and Wii U, will have online play. But on the 3DS, the game will also include two-player local and download play!
The game will let you use the touch screen on both systems to play the game or you can use the analog stick. The Wii U version will be compatible with “Wii Remote, Nunchuk, Classic Controller or Pro Controller” along with the gamepad!
I’m very excited about Worcle Worlds! I’m a huge puzzle fan and so is my dad. We both like the look of the game. The Wii U version sounds cool, but I have to be honest and say that the 3DS version sounds better. Online play, local play, and download play!? Wow. Worcle Worlds should be an excellent puzzle game for the 3DS!
What do you think of this game? Are you looking forward to it? Let us know what you think in the comments.
