Leaked info on Google Play multiplayer

Yes you heard that right. The search giant is dipping its big toe into the world of mulitplayer gaming. The full suite of Google Play services was inadvertantly released by the Google Glass team alongside their new MyGlass app. MyGlass is a very simple app yet the update included features the software isn’t even capable of doing. In fact 75% of the content would’nt work on the app. An unintentional leak, or a clever marketing ploy to raise awareness of the imminent Google Play, we’ll just never know. The leaked contents is an exhaustive list of technical stuff that we won’t go too deep into right now. All you need to know is that it’s both impressive and exciting to say the least. With mentions of lobbies, matchmaking, party chat and even achievements it seems Google is getting ready to take the multiplayer market by storm.

The best news is that it’s due to arrive very soon. In fact Google have already started to roll out the Google Play update to some devices. Naturally they haven’t announced what the update does yet but rest assured, that’s them making preperations.

These days no game is complete without a list of achievements.

Console and PC gamers have plenty of experience with all of the above mentioned features already. Pretty much every gamer out there will feel right at home when Google Play officially launches. No official word on a release date just yet however the Google I/O Conference which takes place in a few days in San Francisco may shed some light on the subject. We’ll be sure to keep you updated.
