Diablo 3 PS4 Preload Available Now

The pre-load is now available for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls on PlayStation 4. If you’ve pre-ordered, you can go ahead and download the title before it unlocks at release early tomorrow morning. The plus side to this is that we’ve also found out how much you can expect to have to download between now and then too.

Early reports indicate that there are two 5GB files that’ll begin downloading after you’ve set it to download. One appears to be the base Diablo game pack, while the other appears to be a localized language pack, although that’s not confirmed. Both files have exactly the same name except for a tag at the end of one that says [ENGLISH].

There’s a little confusion there, because the first person to notice this claims that it was originally 40GBs, and another person claims it was ‘supposed’ to be around 16, so it might be that there are additional downloads from within the client when you turn it on for the first time.

While it’s nice to be able to download the title way ahead of midnight, so that you can play straight away if you fancy it, it does come with a price. The Diablo 3 digital edition is around £20 more than the physical purchase. Still, hey, if it means avoiding waiting and you’re a big fan, who’s to say what price the preload is worth to you?
