Xbox One Wins the Console War… On South Park
Last week’s episode of South Park gave a brutal conclusion to the console war, and one that many PlayStation fans would no doubt be ready to contest. In one of the final scenes, Microsoft’s Bill Gates savagely beat Sony’s Kaz Hirai to death over which console the kids should pick up on Black Friday. If only it were that simple to shut up the internet and stop the silly arguments…
It was quite a surprising way to finish the episode actually, considering that the whole trilogy had shown the consoles as neck and neck, despite Game of Thrones-style plotting and scheming. To have an actual winner in the last few minutes was a bit anti-climactic (although jokes about how the Xbox One had graphics that were “at least 10% better” evened things up slighty), but nobody can argue with those prison tats. Check the video below, although it goes without saying that it contains content that some might find distressing. Bill Gates for one, Kaz Hirai for two.
I’ve been watching South Park a long time, and the console wars trilogy really has been fantastic. The unfortunate break between episodes two and three was a little disappointing, but the laughs didn’t stop. For the full episode, check out the official South Park website.
