Uncharted and Gravity Rush Staying on Vita PS+ for “Foreseeable Future”
Vita owners have been patiently waiting for the yearly PlayStation Plus update, removing Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush from the service and replacing it with something a little fresher. We’ll need to wait a little more, as Sony’s Fred Dutton confirms the two games will be sticking around for the “foreseeable future.”
In reply to a question from Robertsoneuan92 on the latest Plus update post, Dutton confirmed that the Vita wouldn’t be having its rumoured yearly update.
Regarding the PS Vita titles, Gravity Rush and Uncharted will remain in the service for the foreseeable future.
This isn’t entirely a bad thing. Both are fantastic titles and are a great way for new purchasers to see what the Vita is capable of. Still, some had seen the update as a chance to get something major, iconic even, from the service – something like PlayStation Battle Royale or LittleBigPlanet – and the news that Uncharted and Gravity Rush will be sticking around might almost be seen by a few as getting the same old games.
If you’ve not managed to download Gravity Rush and Uncharted yet, you still have a little bit of time. If you have, watch this space. It seems like there are still plans to swap them out at some point in the future – just don’t set your watch by it.
