You've proably heard of Rogue-likes, but have you ever heard of a Snake-like? Unlikely. Obviously someone played a lot of Snake a child and thought 'You know what would make this better? If it had some light RPG elements!' And so it was that Nimble Quest was born.

Ratchet & Clank Trilogy Review
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of Ratchet & Clank in 2002, Insomniac takes us back to where it all began by re-releasing the original trilogy in glorious high definition! There is no doubt that Ratchet & Clank is an iconic series, and one of the crown jewels in the Sony exclusive collection; but exactly how good is the HD re-release of the game?

When Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance came out a few months ago it sparked a debate over quality versus quantity. It is a game that can be beaten in about seven hours, although players have plenty of incentive to replay the short experience over and over again. The first chunk of DLC for the 360 version of the game will ignite that debate all over again. Jetstream is short; one of the achievements is for beating it in under an hour. Unfortunately, few players are going to leap to defend it based on quality.

Having originally been announced in October of 2011, Guacamelee! left countless gamers and critics impressed. Having claimed a number of prestigious awards such as “Best of PAX 2012”, as well as being an 'Independent Games Festival' finalist, Guacamelee! has completely captured my heart with its clever humour, gorgeous visuals and its truly remarkable platforming. Its Mexican folklore inspired universe is truly a sight for sore eyes and the exceptionally written dialogue will have you rolling off whatever surface you choose to sit on.
Read MoreInjustice: Gods Among Us Review
At first glance, Warner Bros.'s Injustice: Gods Among Us seems thoroughly unappealing: it is a watered-down version of its console counterpart, with simplified controls and repetitive gameplay design, topped off by the ever-damning price tag of 'free', never a promising sign for a licensed App Store game. Despite all this working against it, the mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us is actually quite a bit of fun to play, a simple but action-packed fighter perfectly designed for mobile screens.

If you had the opportunity to look one year into your future would you do it? Would you want to see if a new business venture paid off, or if a lost love might return to your life? Perhaps you'd see something terrible; would you be able to avert disaster?
Read MoreGravi Review
Gravi is a puzzle platformer, not entirely like the well-loved Super Meat Boy. Like Super Meat Boy, it pits your mind and reflexes against sharp objects, dangerous pitfalls and molten lava. Like Super Meat Boy, your deaths are going far outnumber the amount of levels you complete. With 40 levels of mayhem, Gravi is a game that is bound to keep genre fans' attention.
Read MoreAge of Empires II HD Review
There's a fine line when re-releasing a title, between making modern and leaving a kind of older charm. The team behind Age of Empires II HD have decided not to even approach that line. The risk of modernizing one of the greatest RTS games of all time was just too great. Depending on your take on this issue, you'll either applaud them for their conservative re-release or you'll find the game archaic and slow.
Read MoreSoul Calibur V Review
The Soul series has been running for a long time, since 1996 in fact. Not unlike Namco's other fighting series, Tekken; Soul Calibur has stood the test of time and is still a popular franchise today. Innovation has always kept the series fresh and interesting, but does the fifth installment continue this tradition? The standard Arcade, Practice and VS style modes are all present as you would expect from a fighting game; as well as a Character Creation Mode. The main innovation this time around is the all-new Story Mode, which sees the player take control of a ...
