Stranded Deep Review

Stranded Deep, originally released in Early Access on PC in 2015, has brought its island-hopping survival experience to consoles. It’s an addictive and enjoyable experience, but one that still feels several steps away from greatness. The game, like many others in the genre, drops you on a deserted island and requires you to craft, explore, and survive, while hopefully advancing the barebones plot. That plot is essentially that you’ve survived a plane crash over a series of equidistant islands, and…

Animal Crossing New Horizons: May Day Impressions

If you haven’t checked out the May Day event in Animal Crossing New Horizons yet, do not read this article. I’m warning you! This article will go into what the May Day event is and what I thought of it. When I started Animal Crossing New Horizons today, Isabelle told me about May Day and that I should come to resident services to talk to Tom Nook about it. As soon as I could, I went there and talked to…

Guard Duty

Guard Duty is an adventure “point and click” game for the Nintendo Switch. It harkens back to old school adventure games like King’s Quest. But is Guard Duty a game just for old school adventure game fans or will new players enjoy it too? Here is our review of Guard Duty for the Nintendo Switch. If you liked the orignal King’s Quest PC game, then you’ll love Guard Duty for the Nintendo Switch. Guard Duty stars a guard who is…

SuperMash – Release Trailer

SuperMash will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One this May! Check out the release trailer for the game and then please come back for some thoughts on it. SuperMash is such a unique looking game. I love the whole idea of taking two genres, say rpg and shooter, and randomly melding them into one unique game. And you can share what you got with others via a special code! SuperMash is a different kind of game…

More Thoughts From Me #219: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Spoilers

WARNING: If you haven’t finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake, do not read this article. There will be SPOILERS, especially for the ending of the game. I finished FF7 recently and I want to talk about the game. What did I think of it overall? What did I think of the ending? I liked Final Fantasy 7 Remake a lot. I just wanted to get that out of the way. I think its a great game. However… Yes, there are some…

Gears Tactics feat

Gears Tactics Review

Officially dropping on PC tomorrow, Gears Tactics is a turn-based tactical shooter set in the Gears of War universe. With the rest of the games in the franchise sporting a heavy focus on fast-paced action, it will be quite interesting to see how a slower, turn-based and more cerebral approach to the Gears universe plays out. I certainly hope that the wide variety of weaponry available in the previous games will be a key part of Tactics because, let's face it, Gears' success was built on a tower of chainsawed grubs. Let’s dive right in!

Quarantine Gaming – Hotline Miami Collection Impressions

The world (and everyone on it) is in a really weird place right now. We can't go to the movies and catch the newest movies, TV programming has pretty much either stopped anything new or is filled with bad quality webcam video of people working from their home. Kids can't go to school or play with their friends...and video games are being delayed indefinitely. So what is a troubled gamer to do? Tackle that backlog and play some indie games, and that's exactly what I am doing.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service feat

Totally Reliable Delivery Service – My Impressions

Nobody should take life (or themselves) too seriously, and nothing I have ever done has hammered this point home better than Totally Reliable Delivery Service. A parody of a physics simulator, Totally Reliable Delivery Service pits players against, well, themselves. And the laws of physics. Laws? More like - the loose guidelines of physics. While this may sound like a nightmare to some, when approached with the right attitude, this game can be the perfect way to unwind at the end of a long and stressful day (not that anyone is currently experiencing any of those!).
