Upcoming Releases to Look Out For on Xbox One
So far this year, we’ve seen the release of numerous brilliant games for the Xbox One. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Sniper Elite 4, Halo Wars 2, Lego Worlds, Mass Effect: Andromeda… the list goes on and on. But 2017 isn’t over yet. There are still a fair few games in the pipeline to get excited about. Here are some upcoming releases which we’re particularly looking forward to.
Tekken 7
Tekken: everyone’s favorite fighting video game since the franchise’s original release in 1994. Many of us have memories of growing up with the game, with the majority of nineties kids being familiar with characters like Panda, Ling Xiaoyu, King, and Prototype Jack. But the game has developed so much since then. June 2nd will see the release of the much awaited Tekken 7 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. As ever, the story modes in the game aren’t going to be exactly genius. But this is something we all take with a pinch of salt in this nostalgic game. But we do have the incomparably brilliant 3D graphics to look forward to. For the best experience, it might be worth looking at the best monitor for xbox one, so that none of the brilliance goes to waste. This is a release to keep an eye on. It is also available to preorder, which might be a good idea, as we can see it flying off the shelves quick time.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
This game is going to come along later in the year, with its release date due on September 19th. Again, it will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. With the last major Marvel vs. Capcom game release being way back in 1996, this one has been in the works for an exceedingly long time. So we have our fingers crossed that it’s truly going to be worth the wait. The Marvel fanbase has proliferated over the years, so the developers have found themselves creating a game for an almost completely new audience. This has resulted in a few shifts in focus: they have simplified input for players and have attempted to create a more cinematic experience, to ensure familiarity with the films and the game. Safe to say though, all of the intricate moves and combos remain in place, so the game should be just as tricky and fun as any previous release.
Crackdown 3
Okay, so this one doesn’t have a confirmed release date as of yet. But it will be hitting stores at some point during 2017. It is an Xbox One exclusive, so won’t be available to buy for any other platform. This will be the third installment in the series of games from UK-based studio Reagent Games. It is promised to be based in a decaying metropolis with a secret agent protagonist. New weapons, upgrades, and modes of transport see this game take on an enhanced character, previously unattainable on Xbox 360. The trailer is available to view online and gives a taste of the good things to come with this game.
