Ken Levine talks about “Elizabeth Porn”
It’s been a topic of conversation since way before Bioshock Infinite hit shelves. There were clothes that showed off ample bosom, cosplayers who wanted to display every side of Elizabeth and even some people who wanted the protagonist to get together with the female lead – people we hope didn’t actually finish the game. Ken Levine, creator of Bioshock, has noticed some of the raunchier stuff, and he has only one message: “please stop.”
In an AMA at Reddit, Levine was asked whether future DLC instalments would tackle other film genres, as opposed to Burial At Sea’s Film Noir influences.
It’s going to be porn. Lots and lots of porn.
Seriously, whoever is doing the Elizabeth porn on deviantart, please stop it. You’re killing me. It’s like coming across a picture of your daughter. I die a little inside with every page view.
Not that it’s unusual for a popular female character to get her kit off on deviantart, or on the internet in general. If you want it, you can find it.
Hopefully, like every daughter’s father since time began, Levine can close his eyes and pretend Elizabeth is his little pre-production girl for ever. Or he might just turn on his search filters.
